Are we looking at serious meat shortages to consumers as the packers close, cut back shifts, etc..., and what's the timeline? How can there not be increasing retail prices with continuing declines in cattle and other livestock prices in those circumstances ? How brave will they get with the price gouging?
Since it's evident that this virus was, to what degree, created and modified in a laboratory, and the data is all there how to effectively transmit it, what's to stop it from mutating, in a lab or not, and starting over again with the help of our enemies, when people and governments start letting their guard down? Everyone's pot is empty. This has been an expense similar to major warfare. What an effective and efficient way to spread the misery of communism to the great capitalist nations.
Before this started we were hearing about the African Swine Fever, and the decimation of China's hog inventory, for months or longer, and how it was likely to hit over here. What's happened to that?
Ramblings of night calving.

We dont need a federal veterinarian looking at every carcass that can be sold by the lb. It's asinine. Longer I think about Corbitt's 30% cash sales and mandatory reporting deal, the more I think it's BS. Yeah, it would be better than what we have, but it isn't what we should have. We need the cut our throats regulations killed, not new regulations that are cut our throats light.

I have thought about someone shooting one of my cows, or people coming to my door to say they need the meat. Surely it won't get that bad.

So many products today are produced on demand, production capacity geared to an average amount needed and little storage for extra. So there will be bottle necks in production, hopefully the plant closings are staggered enough to eliminate any extreme shortages for long term. Another problem is workers not showing up for work to keep products moving through the distribution system.

Just curios on how many workers will stay at home after things start to open, before this hit there were a lot of jobs to fill and people didn't want to work, now they will really have an excuse.
