Thats how i do it here Ebenezer thats what makes it great in areas that can’t grow much else. I know part of Mo owes it’s whole cattle business to fescue. I can grow other stuff. Have bermuda grass. But i only need about 3 months worth of he bermuda. I need 6 months of the fescue.

I have fescue mixed in the bermuda. 1st of march the fescue is growing 1st of june the bermuda starts to take over.

For grazing in January I would rather have stockpiled fescue than anything else.

For grazing in January I would rather have stockpiled fescue than anything else. That’s what I mean about different places. Once we get to January our ryegrass will start growing again. I like oats/wheat/ryegrass for a growth at different times. Oats get a lot of mass early, ryegrass starts back first and wheat is a good backup in case one of them fails.
