Based on the title of this thread i remembered. My oldest daughter would make a big batch of cookie dough. Put the first batch in the oven. Go sit in front of the TV. When the smoke was rolling out of the oven and the smoke alarms went off she would remember the cookies. Rolling Smoke.

A "friend" told me his wife's idea of a kitchen timer was the smoke alarm.

Your friend knows my wife... ? I love her, but she just can't cook. Blackened seafood and an very few other meats ok, but biscuits, rolls and pizza it just doesn't work on..
