What would be best to no till in the fall after my last hay cut? I'd like something that maybe would make hay my first cut in the spring, then be gone. Wheat, rye,

Just sow ryegrass with a plane or buggy. You’ll have to mix with fertilizer. One rain and it’s up.

You will cut and bale about the time Bermuda breaks dormant Sounds ideal It can greatly reduce your hay feeding if you can get enough planted and limit graze. Weather permitting.

It’s ready to cut early. April or May you can cut. If you can get drying weather. If you can’t and it matures you won’t have to plant next fall Andy the first hay you bale will seed it for you too. I plant a lot of ryegrass, takes less rain than wheat to get sprouted too.

Also plant where you can graze it and you won’t need as much hay.

For myself i would rather just have wheat. You have a drill so i would just drill it in.
