This group on here I'm sure can build better than I can and I absolutely fail at taking step by step pictures. Rarely do I start anything with precise measurements or drawing. I will sketch it out and then let what I am working on dictate how it wants to come together. I have found that a double spear hay fork for FEL is one of the best investment you can get. I bought one from titan last year and have been well pleased with it except the forks are set at 39" wide so they will not work with pallets. They do not offer one in the width I want so it's build time. I ordered the weld sleeves last week . Picked up some scrap steel from junkyard. I cut and tacked everything Monday started welding yesterday. I will post pics tonight (after I take some) 220# of 3" square and some 3" angle 100.00

I'm sure I'm not telling you anything. But for pallets don't forget to set it up where you can get the Spears down on the ground flat
Maybe I'll try to join you. I ordered two Spears and I had a heavy duty quick attach blank. Only thing. I took one of the Spears out to look at it. I can't find the damn thing.

I want a green one. Send me your address and a bill. I’ll see if Vince will pick it up! Looks real good. And you work pretty fast.

Got about 5 hrs in it. Got one coat of paint on back side of it today. I cut everything with a cheap harbor freight 4.5" grinder , cut the holes with a torch. I would love to have a better machine to cut all the parts and it would only take about an hour to weld everything up.

Don’t know about M5s reason, but it’s dang handy for picking up pallets, a stack of posts, or about anything else. Hay forks will do the same but those double spears will still go in a bale of hay.

I have double forks. I was feeding round bales when I bought it. Now I get big squares. The double fork works on them where a single spear wouldn't. And there are lots of other things a double works to pick up.

Don’t know how big M-5’s bales are, but a single spear won’t last long with my bales.

I can tote 2 at a time. Pallets, I stack hay on ends and you can slide them out from between bales .

You'll find lots of uses for that double fork setup.
A set of forks for both the front and/or the 3pt are handy as heck around here. I don't have a tractor with a loader but use my old Case 480 backhoe/loader combo to move lots of things. I use the rear forks on my tractor a lot for moving bales most of the time. All that weight back there has kept me from getting stuck when putting out hay in wet weather.

Next I'm gonna build a bracket and spear to connect to the 3 point quick attach . It will just go I. The hook and the qa serves as the fork frame. I saw it in farm show mag a while back and it's so simple .

I would have built a tree pusher on the top of the frame. Its nice to have to bump bale or other stuff with.

I thought about that and might add one later. I have one on my pallet forks and that is what I use if I have to do a bunch of lifting or pushing up stuff
