There has been other bills like the Massie bill that have never went any where. Big packers don't even want a little competition.
All very true. And as I often say, I cant prove something that has yet to happen.
As you know, I've had confidence in several things coming to fruition when I was called a nut, but they happened/ or are happening.
So I'll lay out why I think what i think.
Notice, most of the treaties are graduated. The benefit on the backend is greater than the front end and so the real benefit is yet to come.
Passage of such PRIME bill is a political thing, so let's get into the politics of it all. We know that 2018 elections were riddled with fraud. The Senate races which involve numerous precincts are harder to turn than House races which involve very few precincts. Compromise one and you can likely affect the outcome.
Notice the difference in outcomes between the two. And if need be, I can drag up some of the individual poll results to show the evidence of the fraud I'm talking about.
But what's important at this time is going forward. We are about a year out from 2020. And by the time elections roll around, we will have voter ID laws. Watch for all the crying, it's coming.
A secured election will yield a House and Senate ready to work for the people. What the President is pushing is the platform of the people, not lobbying firms or regulatory captured crony capitalism. He's said it over and over..... a secure agriculture industry is national security.
In addition, people want secure food. People want locally sourced food from farmers in their communities not Chinese or Brazilian foreign entities taking advantage of regulations to unfairly compete with Americans.
Passage of this type of PRIME legislation will happen in the new Congress in 2021. I dont think it will happen prior.
But 2021 isnt that far away. And the trade deals ramp up.
There is a saying, dont interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake. Let big beef use their lobbying arms and resources to set up these trade deals.
Then pull the floor right out from under them.
