I guess that I am a little naive, because I guess that I didn't realize what was going on. I did notice that there were a few people "missing there" but alot of the threads I didn't follow so missed out on some. I did take BH to task once about not taking everything said so personally and to let others comments roll off their back, and that we are all entitled to our opinions. I haven't been banned for anything, but was once chastised for some question that I asked because I really didn't understand something. CB told me the answer to my question and that was that. But I got tired of the bullshit with ron and then BH. I went back and saw where ron had been that inyanti or whatever name it was, and someone else inbetween that and Bright Raven. THANK GOODNESS for greybeard.... he did PM me about this site. He is also on BackYard Herds. A place for small little "homesteader types" and most are pretty nice people. He got me to CT from there and then to here. I usually say what I think, and I am not afraid to say that I don't know and don't get bent out of shape if someone corrects me if I am wrong. But I won't go bashing other farmers/ranchers because I sure am not perfect and don't feel that I have half the answers, let alone all the answers. Who the hell cares if I want to post on 5 different sites? I try to not be disrespectful of anyone. I will give my opinion if I feel that I know something that someone asks about. I will answer someone that asks me and tell that that I don't know if I don't. I know that I am sometimes clueless about some of the more subtle goings on. I have seen where some here don't like CB, yet he has been very civil and pleasant to me. But I have never done anything that I know of to piss him off. And maybe being female he is more reserved to say something nasty to me. I remember a few posts by Milkmaid when I first came on. I think that some just got too "in your face" to others, but if it bothered me, then I just quit reading that thread. I don't have the time to read all on here that I probably should right now. But I am glad that Greybeard got me over here. And by the way, people on BYH have been wondering where you are GB.... I did PM him on CT....about being missing from BYH...... guess it will remain to be seen if that causes any problems Just so you know, theres evidence that the mods are reading pm’s there (CT) |

Jan, I'm done with BYH. It just got too PC, thin skinned and huggie kissy over there and when they start "demanding" apologies for doing nothing more than stating what my own ethics are regarding which sectors I would work in or not, then I'm done.
They got people over there hawking home remedies for one member that's selling them and if you contradict it with science and real medicine, they act like ya just knee capped someone.

greybeard, if you don't read the PM then they probably won't bother you about it. And if they really want to be pissy about BYH which is of no interest to anyone on CT because they really are just little HOBBY FARMERS/ HOMESTEADER TYPES then they can all go to hell. If they really want to ban me then so be it.

I did not expect that out of TB. Guess I trust some of the wrong people. That was pretty low on his part..but I'm not surprised by any of em any more..if this sites has done nothing,it's dried that place up.. |

For me, I hadn't been on CT very many years, but at first really liked it. Over time though I started noticing a lot of what the folks on here had been seeing. It got frustrating, when making posts that I would almost have to censor my self before posting so as not to mention something with a reference to faith. One thread over there was deleted probably because myself and another poster had a very short very civil debate involving a particular scripture definition. That was a couple years ago probably. Others have said way more controversial things repeatedly.

There is a segment of society that is so fed up with the PC culture and then saying every one needs to tip toe around everyone's feeling's. It's why we have Trump and why this place was revived.

What irks me is CT has been slowly moving to PC and some of the people I least ever expected to, have evidently embraced it.
There's a ton of hypocrisy there, with some of them once being the biggest shit stirrers ever, now complaining the loudest when someone else does it, including & especially Mod2. If he were honest or had an ounce of integrity, he would have banned himself retroactively as he has banned some good people for doing way less than what he himself has been more than a little guilty of.
A mod's job is to be self effacing, put out fires if they get too hot with as little damage as possible and with as little public fanfare as possible...it's not to burn half the house down or go on some sort of twisted ego driven vendetta which is exactly what has happened at CT since Dun passed away.

Move over Jan least we take up all the allotted naive space.  Definitely not a seasoned veteran nor prodigous poster on CT. That aside, I find it increasingly disturbing that a relative few are given a free pass to patently insult others and run rough shod. |

Do the owners of CT know about the problems? I do not know enough to know if the Mods are tied to owners or if the owners even look at the site. I used to get the paper version of the CT but it has stopped coming. I do not know if they folded or if I just forgot to renew. Whatever is fine as a number of articles were in other publications and the ads did little for me. Sure seems like a waste of a chat site but with this one in full swing, they can do as they please and it'll be fine. I've seen this happen before on other cattle sites and a sheep site. Get one or two on the site who want to be king and it sets things into a downward spiral. Actually the guy on the sheep site was more pompous than BH and more "knowledgeable" than BR all rolled in one.

Hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but I don't recall getting the CT paper lately either. Got it for years, rarely looked very closely through it though. |

Did some checking. CT print version is no longer. The Gravlee (sp?) Mod is the owner. He lives in FL. He and family also own the Ct Cryogenics. I guess I can not consider them for a new tank. Don't know what else they sell/do. So the answer is he knows and wields power. If the paper is gone and other things are dwindling maybe the real heart and purpose is gone. Who knows; people are going to do odd things.

I was a member for right around a decade. I never even got so much as a warning until recently.
I was the one that got Inyati banned the first time for going after some of the ladies on the board. He never should have made it back after some of the things he said to a few of them. There's just no place for that. Instead they let the little piss-ant back time and again and now they just ignore his behavior.
I answered every question that dummy sent me and remember thinking that he was to stupid to breed his own cows based on some of the questions he asked but now he's the expert and people gobble up everything he says. I guess a million insemenations and custom making sync protocols can't trump fancy scientific words...
Edited to add: I'll help just about anybody. He's one of very few people that I wish I'd have never even given the time of day to and I've had a lot of people that I've helped burn me over the years.
