I saw Vince’s post. And within minutes. Poof. Gone like a fart in the wind. Wasn’t inappropriate in the slightest. Just “offended” the wrong one.
I haven’t been banned yet. But there hasn’t been anything I felt worthy of my comment for days now. I’m beating a dead horse, but the only reason that bothers me is bc there’s only about 5 over there that cause an issue.
I invited Jogeephus. Haven’t seen him yet but I hope he will join.

I was a member for right around a decade. I never even got so much as a warning until recently. I was the one that got Inyati banned the first time for going after some of the ladies on the board. He never should have made it back after some of the things he said to a few of them. There's just no place for that. Instead they let the little piss-ant back time and again and now they just ignore his behavior. I answered every question that dummy sent me and remember thinking that he was to stupid to breed his own cows based on some of the questions he asked but now he's the expert and people gobble up everything he says. I guess a million insemenations and custom making sync protocols can't trump fancy scientific words... Edited to add: I'll help just about anybody. He's one of very few people that I wish I'd have never even given the time of day to and I've had a lot of people that I've helped burn me over the years. Even worse, theres evidence hes one of the mods now. Which makes the whole series of events recently make sense

I joined ct in the spring of 2008 never had a warning even up to the time i was banned. I remember alot of times that CB would have been banned if they did things like they do today.

Spent 20 mins. This a.m typing a post on that thread. Between when I started typing and went to post poof locked just like all the others. All fine and good to bash this site and the people here but can’t call a spade a spade going the other way. Thanks again for getting this thing going and letting us participate. That place went to shyt in a hurry. Still a few I hope we can get here but not much left there anymore.

I knew things were going south on CT when I got banned just out of the blue after 9 years, without as much as a warning. Never once had I even gotten a pm from a mod for anything. So I sent Gravlee an email asking why I got banned, along with some encouraging words. The next morning I was unbanned. I'm starting to believe Mod2 has gotten a little wild with the mod powers, or Gravlee is just letting MOD2 have free range of CT.

We may never have 20000 members here, but 20000 don't mean much when only a handful of them post.

Sometimes it seems to take me for ever to get a post typed out how I want it to be, then you find out what you was responding to went poof. Very frustrating.
Shortly after Kenny posted and before it was locked mod2 posted and deleted his usual how many warnings is needed post.

The #1 thing CT has changed, is they no longer want The Truth posted. That "doxing" post is a major deal..a sea change. They are very afraid.

The fact is this has got to be hitting Gravlee in the pocket book. Ranchers is dead and CT is quickly going that way. I have no idea how much money he makes off this or what else he has going on but income from CT is dropping like a rock.

I joined CT in 2004, just about 15 years ago. I was a 'lurker' for many, many months prior. I remember the days of Blackpower (a poster at that time) talk about rough! I remember well the early days of CT. I have watched and been a part of CT through its growth and all the cycles it has gone through over the years. Watched & been a part of the ebb and flow of newcomers arriving and oldtimers leaving as well as some members passing on. Slowly, little by little it has become increasingly more & more PC. Sadly I have watched many good, knowledgeable, helpful & kind people leave there for various reasons as the years have gone by. The same with Rancher's. I enjoyed the CT "community", it was a wonderful collection of characters, some very silly, a few jerks, many helpful mentor-types, many newcomers to the world of cattle, quite a few who genuinely wanted to share experiences and learn as well, a few very large producers, some from other countries, a handful of shitheads & assholes who eventually left or were booted out, but generally a good bunch of people who were a good representation of the world of reality...…. what one could encounter at any feedstore, stockyard, coffee shop or cattle association meeting anywhere. It has changed & morphed, as many "chat" sites do, but CT has lasted and endured and remained strong as others slowly withered and died. However, in recent months it has changed and become something completely different. And I find it sad. It seems to be a reflection of what is going on all around this country. Up is now down, right is wrong and all seems backward. The hypocrisy is outrageous! I have never "been in trouble" over there, pretty much always played by the rules. Not long ago I questioned, in a PM to the Mods, what was going on? How I couldn't understand how it was that a few who constantly get booted off can return and consistently stur the pot but others get the boot permanently...…. I was threatened with getting the boot as well. Seriously??? Just by asking, privately, what was the deal? Very sad indeed. I joined CT way back when as I had (at that time) gotten back into cattle. I had been, somewhat involved with cattle & dairy, in the late 70's into the early 80's and ended up being totally consumed by the equine world until the late 90's and around 2000 got back involved with the world of cattle. I had helped my aunt & uncle a bit, with their herd of Angus and started to build a herd of beef cattle, of my own. Around the same time I started working at a huge farm, with huge numbers of cattle. I had started with a Jersey cow and eventually purchased a couple of bottle calves from a local dairy. Every now and then I'd bring home the occasional orphan from work. As time went by, I was able to start to purchase a bred cow here & there. Bought a few culls from the farm where I worked, got a few decent calves from them and it grew from there. One of my co-workers had told me of CT and suggested it would be a good place for me to spend some internet time. A place to go to "talk" with other folks, besides my co-workers, about cattle. I learned a lot and I also was able to contribute and help others, in addition to the banter & fun, general conversations in coffee shop & everything else board. Anyhow, I'll sign off on this for now. I just felt an urge to offer up my un-asked for 2 cents. LOL I'll shut up now.

If you decide to go out with guns blazing, let me know ahead of time so I can make it double barreled!!

Very thorough explanation workingonit. Thank you. I started on CT in 11. Dun did ban me back in 13 or 14 iirc . I always pushed the line but that is just how I am. That ban was because I called someone a libtard so I broke the politics and the insulting rule. After dun allowed me to come back I had several conversations with him and for the next few years I think the board was very good. The last couple yrs things have changed with his passing. I do not know who all is mod2 but I have my suspicion.i think it's shitty to hide behind the mask of mod and not be Man enough to own your decision. This last time I was banned out of the blue and only because of my association with the others here. Macon replied to me in email saying several members needed a cooling off period . He also said Raven was an asshole. After I revived this place that I started in 16 I knew I would not be reinstated .it is what it is and the people that say it's just an internet forum obviously doesn't realize I have made some really good friends over the years from there. Every group has certain types of people , serious, introvert, extrovert, jokesters, badasses, kind, and cold hearted. This is what make the world go round but the ones that only come online to start trouble and cause drama are the ones that ruin a place. I am sure eventually I will have to deal with a troll or 2 but I can assure you I will not hide behind a mask and I will not delete topics just to appear like there is no confusion. I think having the offenders remarks preserved only justifies the decision.
