Vetrans lake near Sulphur OK in the Chickasaw national recreation area. It’s a litte lake less than a 100 acres and doesn’t allow motorized boats. We took the kayaks out and had a blast

Because calling them specks seems a bit racist.

We call em White Perch. A friend of mine, my two boys, and myself left yesterday about 5 and went to Lake Oconee. Fished till about 5 this morning and then drove home. I’m sleepy. We only caught 30 but 5 were between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 pounds. I can’t imagine catching one that was 3 pounds or so. We had a good time.

They are Crappie in VA I don’t know what’s wrong with you people in FL. Never mind that last part answered my own question. JMJ watch breathing that air when the wind is out of the south, sounds like you may be catching a touch of it. Whatever you call them they are fun to catch and darn good eating. I enjoy kayak fishing especially with an ultralight. Makes everything seem like you got a marlin on the line.

What's the size and possession limit up there Cross? Depends on the lake. Arbuckles is 10” minimum and 15 per person. Vetrans is 8” and I think 35 Pauls valley and Longmire doesn’t have a size limit but sure not sure on how many per day. I’m not sure about Murray lake, I never fish there. It’s a big time party lake but the strippers and walleye fishing supposed to be good if you don’t get run over
