I am seeing Kubotas popping up around this area. It is mostly a John Deere area as we have a dealer in every other town. I am surprised to hear that there is a Kubota insurnance like this. There are so many weekender farmers that can tear up a steel ball bearing, that I wonder if it will catch up with Kubota. I was married before and he would tear something up on a tractor each time he got on it. It was hard for him to hold a beer in his hand and drive the tractor at the same time. He was not going to set that beer down for anything. I remember he was mowing the pasture and got too close to the ditch that surrounds the property, and just drove the tractor down into the ditch. I had to call my Dad to come pull him out. He was very expensive to have around equipment. I hid the key to the little Kubota tractor that I mowed the yard with at the time because it was an overseas model and did not have power steering. Beer and tractor driving do not mix. I knew that if he got on it, that he would have barked all the trees in the yard and no telling what else he would have torn up. Back then those parts for overseas tractors were not easy to come by. He finally went out there in his stupor and stuck a screwdriver in the ignition and almost made it hard to get the key in.
I hated having to hide things from him as a man should be able to get on equipment and use it when they choose. I just could not afford to wait months to wait for parts for the mower.
Now Mr. Chuckie is extremely great with tractors and can fix anything on them and works on his older balers to keep them running. I have a lot of respect for that and help him all that I can as his helper when he is working on things. He does all his own work on the equipment but when the transmission went out on the 6410, he had John Deere to break it down and repair that. He was putting in too many hours and had little time to work on it. He keeps our older tractors in working order as we have 3010's 4020, and a 3020. We cannot afford new equipment for the cattle or we would completely go in the hole. The 6410 has a cab on it and makes cutting hay bearable vs. sitting out in the open with all the sun shining down on you in the high heat and humidity here.

Kubota ins. covers virtually anything that happens to the tractor, tree fall on it, roll over, failed part..... You pay $250 deductable.
