The welder priced the build using Tarter gates, but a small screw up on measurements on his part would not allow them. He had to build them and he used 2" pipe with a 5/16th wall. I'm much happier with those even tho they're not powder coated. Just need some rock and crushed asphalt to level that pad up inside and I'll be ready to move calves.

Anyone ever dealt with select fill as a base for your barn? Gotta do something while it's dry enough to get a truck in there. Was going with a crushed concrete base with recycled asphalt on top, but the trucker I spoke with said Select Fill and cushion sand would be better.
