I was in Walmart looking in the vegetables, and spotted vegetable meat. Funny that it is not in the meat coolers. Most of it was in ground meat such as sausage and meat balls. It was not priced too high. I believe it was $2.17 per pack. For some reason, I could not make myself try it. It gave me the feeling of buying ground mice. I was not going to buy any, but thinking about picking up the package and putting it in my cart, I just could not fathom it.

Pharo has three ingredient lists in his latest news letter two are fake meat and one is dog food. There isn't enough difference to tell them apart.

People are still buying hot dogs. Ball games are still selling out of hot dogs.
Trends come and go. Markets cycle. We've seen "all natural" and "grass fed" for over a decade now.
What condiments do you like on your hot dog ?
I make some mean chili varieties. My barbecue results in very little or no left overs. I haven't mastered ribs yet but I've sampled a lot of really good ones thru the years. I love a good steak. Ain't no way I'm giving up beef. How about you ?

Chuckie do you have orange and green hair ? Somehow I just don't see you fitting in at Walmart. Backhoeboogie, I am the typical redneck you see walking up and down the isles of Walmart. I am not one of those orange or green haired women; or one as large as the Calvin Klein model wearing something so small that my body is trying to escape all the openings. Neither do I wear sheer white pant with a black g-string!! Check out this lady in Walmart on Meth. It is amazing!

Dang Chuckie. That poor gal. She's headed for a hard row to hoe.
I've been to Walmart this year. Already.
We all knew you had class. I just like giving you grief about it.

We ate at Qdoba in Rapid City, SD yesterday. They had the "impossible burrito" etc. on the menu . The fake meat behind the glass for that had an unappetizing light color. Didn't see anybody order it. On the other hand, they had a lot of steaks being cooked up for their "grilled steak" fillings. My favorite thing there is the large "bowl", extra steak for 2 bucks more, no tortilla, and no beans.
South of the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center there were a bunch of f...tards demonstrating about global warming, as well as many places on the news today where the disastrous public schools even excused students to demonstrate. So many young people regurgitating the pablum they've been fed by inferior teachers. Somehow, there needs to be a greater movement by the scientific community that hasn't been bought off to counter so much misinformation. It seemed like beef was in their crosshairs today, as well as the usual energy targets, which transport them, provide their electricity, and keep their stupid asses from freezing to death.

Someone should have posted the words to that song. I think it mentions speed.
Backhoeboogie, often I go into the grocery store on my way back from feeding the cattle at the other farm. In the summertime I have been wringing wet from the humidity, and in the winter, I have mud on my clothes. The girls at the counter know I have been feeding the cows, but the other shoppers probably think I am homeless at my appearance. Funny how when I was younger I would not have gone inside looking and smelling like a cow feed lot. But now, it doesn't matter. I like my frame of mind much better now that I have grown older.
I fed liquid once, but seems the cattle did not take to it so well. I sort of like the idea of grain keeping the weight up and not just maintaining. Seems when the cold temps really drop, that it would be harder just to maintain.

I try very hard not to go into a grocery store terribly muddy from the cow lot, but will and do in a stop and go type store. In the back of my mind, even tho I try to kick it off before going in, I'm still carrying all kinds of bacteria on my boots and too damn many people in big stores let their little ones crawl around on the damn floor, but as far as how I'm dressed..I want people to see what someone that still works for a living looks like. It's not the kid's fault their parents are stupid.

I don't wear my muddy boots in. I always wear my shoes and carry my mud boots with me. Those Muck boots are easy to slip on and off as I get out of the truck. Getting in and out of the tractor in deep mud and cutting the strings off with the wind blowing the hay back in your hair and face just adds character.

Unfortunately I already had a cart full at Wal Mart one day when it dawned on me not only was I a nasty mess, I was wearing the jeans with a giant rip on my left butt cheek. But who doesn't love undies with monkeys hanging from palm trees? At least I was wearing some but immediately went to the check out. The walk of shame, all the way to the parking lot.
