M-5, looks like you could be affected...again...maybe late Monday/early Tuesday. Who else?
Not much info on what 'they' think it will do after it emerges back into the Northern Gulf. Will it survive and re-strengthen like Andrew did? That should be a concern for anyone West of Florida.

They don't know what the hell is going on. I think the only place they are ruling out as safe in Billings Montana.

All Florida livestock markets are closed 9-2 thru 9-6 ,
Effective Immediately The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Animal Industry, has temporarily suspended the intrastate movement requirements for the transportation of animals from the areas expected to be impacted by Hurricane Dorian.

I might be a little closer than I want to be. Around the Gainesville FL area.

Won't wish a hurricane on anyone but rain from a tropical depression coming into Texas coastal bend and going up thru central Tx would sure be welcome here also.

My brother, parents and a bunch of good friends are looking at having their lives turned upside down. Right now its supposed to come ashore between west palm and daytona, and ride up the state slowly. 24-48 hours of rain and winds. I dont see it crossing the state and going into the gulf. If it does, look out. If it slows down enough before landfall, it could potentially get pushed out to sea by the high, IF the high builds enough.

Hopefully the hurricane will stay offshore. A lot of my friends and family are talking about staying and riding it out as of now. From what I remember hurricane parties are overrated when the hurricane actually hits where you are.

I think I'd come up with a good excuse to go see some new country for a bit.

I'm with you Grit. Hoping it stays off the coast a bit. The latest euro model shows that and, that puts me (and most of the state) on the better side

I have cousins that live in Vero Beach and they've been thru several over their life time. I suppose they know what they are doing by now. They all know we have an open door in Texas.

Anyone that's lived in Florida for long enough has seen them and should know what it's about. The hardest part is the whole damn state gets stupid about it. There are people here filling up multiple 55 gallon drums of gas like they will never sell it again. Buying 2 dozen cases of water. I couldn't drink that much water in a month.
I did fill my truck up, and got a few gas cans to run the generator if need be. Filling some Tupperware containers and freezing them to keep the freezer longer. I'll put a rain barrel out under the eave with a little water in it to flush the toilet. Sharpened the chainsaws. Other than that I think I'm good.
If everyone would just calm down and think things through this shit would be a lot easier.

Now, for those right on the coast, they need to get their crap together and head inland some. That's a different story.

I'm wondering if we will get any rain late next week if it turns NW after landfall. I could use some but would not order up a flood if I had a menu.
