Texas college has found what they think will be a replacement. This plant is a problem weed in lots of pastures around here.

Opiod gangsters are some of the worst white collar criminals to ever exist.
Kratom was another plant that should have been seriously studied long ago. It's been reported to help some people fight opiod addiction, but some states have banned it. I can only assume where the lobbying money originated for those bills.
But the plant Slick posted is more interesting since it's endemic to the US.
Lot of good stuff to come.

I usually really dislike any type of medical lawsuit, but if they can sue the shit out of more entities in the opioid chain, more power to 'em.
