I've seen time and again how a married couple will do without and put as much money as they can away......and then one of them passes on, and the other gets remarried, and the new spouse buys everything the old spouse went without, and they do some awesome traveling. We don't have land debt, and are operating on our own money. Nothing wrong with enjoying some of the fruits of your labor, too damn late when you're dead, and your predecessor is enjoying it. Wait, what? Clearly I'm doing something wrong. My step-wife's credit card was practically an appendage (yet another reason she's Hubby's ex). Granted, life didn't suck when Hubby & I were doing the Corporate Working Thing but since we "retired" & bought cattle the majority of our big expenses are all related to the ranch (also no debt). There is zero awesome traveling - it's kind of a big deal if I make it to Wichita 4 times a year. Think Green Acres and what's left of my vanity is getting my hair done every 5 weeks .

Sorry, I used the word predecessor when I should have typed "successor" instead.
