The elderly woman seemed to be challenged just shopping and I am sure that going to the store is difficult for her and then have someone do this to her. Surely the store had other cameras as they passed through the front of the store to help identify both of the women. I can't imagine what the lady felt as she went to the cashiers to pay for her groceries which she needed and was not able to pay. People at that age have so many difficulties as it is, but for her to worry about checks, possibly a debit card, and other personal information. I hope she did not have a lot of cash in her purse. I just feel so sorry for that lady and I agree with highgrit. How does one live with themselves after doing that to someone who is already struggling?
I hope the judge and the newspapers print her face in the newspapers after they catch her. She needs to be slammed with the harshest sentence for preying on the elderly. It seems that if a person does not have empathy for the elderly, that a jail sentence would change how she treats others.
I know that there have to be some people that learn to feel differently about what they have done to others after serving jail time, but most are just mad because they got caught.
This truly makes me sick.
