Tonight was the regional bred heifer sale that we have been a part of for several years. We were not real excited about how it might turn out, given the results of another heifer sale not too far away earlier in the week. It was said to have averaged around $1100. I’m not certain what this sale tonight averaged but I think it was likely around $1300. Our cattle averaged $1420 per head, ranging from $1575-$1300. We didn’t make a lot at that but am very thankful that it turned out as well as it did given how everything is now. These are some of our cattle at the yards.

We were just thankful to get what we did. We are moving toward cow/calf and maybe some feeders, probably won’t do the heifer program anymore.
