Sounds like the cow is smarter than he is. I don't believe that I would have reported that story on the news to show the world how stupid I was.

The saddest thing is, they won't get another sensible cattleman on there to tell the other side of the story..... how a cow with a new calf is going to be protective; how certain breeds, like the brafords, and anything with brahma in it tends to be more protective as a breed in general, that no sensible cattle person will tolerate a cow with an attitude like that for very long if they want to have "more valuable registered stock" because attitude is inheritable, and if the animals are to be shown and such, they are not safe for close up work. How many of us have sold cattle that were "good cows" because they had an attitude..... Yeah, you can't fix stupid... but it gives us all a bad name....and then people get more put off by cattle and the beef industry and all.
