Your paying yourself too much. I understand that if you are selling or hiring out , I figure labor on that stuff like I would pay a hand to do it , 12 to 15 an hour I understand where you are coming from but you can’t do that and be honest about what it costs. For me my business is running my tractors for other people. If I take them out of their field to put in mine I have to figure it at what I charge them for. You wouldn’t take that 100hp NH up the road and disc a guys field for $15 an hr. When you sell shingles to someone you cover all your overhead not just what the guy delivering them makes. Oh I agree I your selling your time and equipment. If your making your own hay and own the equipment you should be using a depreciation figure . And only running cost. Doing labor on your own place can only be valued at what it would cost to hire a hand to do it not what your experience says your worth imo .
