...the bulls got out a poorly fastened steel gate on an all steel pen and got in with the replacement heifers, for what could have been at most a few hours. I gave Lute to the obviously bred ones, but apparently they were busy. This calf was born yesterday, and I now have it with its mother and 3 others that are going to calve any minute up at the barn all bedded and sheltered. Now trying to decide if we finished calving late or are starting really early.

A live calf is better than none. When are you suppose to start calving?

A live calf is better than none. When are you suppose to start calving? All four suspects have now successfully calved. We are supposed to start calving Mar. 1.
