I've never had the pleasure of working with one, but I hear they make great partners.

Those malinois are some fearless dogs.

I have heard that Belgian Malinois are very anal dogs. Once they have something on their mind, they can't let it go. So I can imagine how much they want to latch on to someone after practicing the take downs. I can only compare it to my Blue Heeler that was so anal about what he wanted to do. The BM may even be more hard core than a Heeler. Buster was relentless when he had something on his mind. He was a great dog, but you just had to try to outsmart him. I am not so sure that he was not smarter than myself at times, as I could not come up with anything that would change his mind. I lost him last year from kidney failure. He was a great dog. I trained him to circle the couch when he was a pup by using hand signs and using "By" and "Over.'' He loved playing that game. He would run as fast as he could. Sometimes I would get confused about the hand signs and the words. Then I realized that "By" meant to circle over to the left. I wave bye with my right hand, so that was how I kept it straight in a rush. He helped me so much with the cattle. He is very much missed. Buster was such a great dog and loved member of the family.
