I'm sure everyone has read the media reports already. Picture was released from the church's live stream of it's services.  Gunman(2) church member shot(1) church member/security(3) killed the shooter............with a bullet to the head...... target acquisition, bullet placement. I'm not sure which person the other victim was, but I think it's the person with his right arm outstretched that the gunman still has his weapon pointed towards . |

I can't believe that Main Stream Media hasn't attacked the community with a name like White Settlement. Bound to be a bunch of racists lives there.

GOD BLESS the ones that had the foresight at this church to face up to the possibility of an idiot entering their church, and start the security detail. There is NO QUESTION that the members are right in their belief that they have to protect themselves, and by learning and following these beliefs, that they were ready and able to stop the shooter from causing more harm. Bless the man who did the RIGHT THING and took out the shooter. God was behind him. My heart aches for the two that lost their lives and their families. I have watched several of the interviews and there is no question that the man who has been teaching and training these members of the security group is as great a person as there is.

Actually it was the only settlement of "white folks" in the area at the time, the other settlements being native american. Had a proposal about 15 years ago on the ballot to change the name and it was voted down 10-1. I can see local folks in that area knowing the history voting the name change down TB. |
