I wish there was an AI board here.
I am almost finished with my breeding for fall 2020 calves. Mi had an interesting phenomenon. Here is the record:
November 23, 2019 AI bred to High Road December 14, 2019 twenty one days post AI. Did not return to estrus. December 17, 2019 passed 21 days no activity. But clear mucus discharge. December 18, 2019 still no estrus activity but clear mucus discharge.
Yesterday, I pulled a blood sample. Of all the cows, most has passed. I am at over 80 % conception on first service. But i still question this cow. The discharge was as clear as OB lubricant. That usually means a vaginal secretion due to rising estrogen. But she did not as much as sniff another cow and the fall bull calves didn't follow her.
I sent the sample off to BioPRYN.

There is a board. I will move this. Where is it? Btw. This is one of the best AI charts I have found. I posted it several times at CT.

There is a board. I will move this. Where is it? Btw. This is one of the best AI charts I have found. I posted it several times at CT. It's called "No bull" on the cattle board. No bull means you don't own a bull.
