Yeah.. feel right at home. I grew up on a dairy farm, went to Instrument School in NWL after high school. I worked electrical construction for several years and then settled down with a maintenance job. Finally, I came home about 8 years ago to take over the family farm (now a cow/calf operation) and raise my family... I guess what I’m saying is, I’ve been around folks like y’all my whole life. I look forward to interacting with everyone!

Most electrical engineers couldn’t comprehend instrument application. It’s been a great career for me. I’m at a nuke plant and way out of touch with technology. Never finished college. Considering retirement soon anyway.

I always enjoyed the work. Never had to worry about a paycheck. The only thing I didnt like was there wasnt much local work and like you said, unless you were in the field, few know much about it. The construction outfit I worked for had around 100 electricians and 3 E&I’s, so you know how that went. I traveled the first 7 years and then took the maintenance job. Way to young for that, got bored with it. I got the chance to come home and jumped on it. But, I wouldnt hesitate to push a young person in that direction.
