If I may give a little Introduction for those that are new to Fire Sweep Ranch.
Fire Sweep lives in Missouri and raises Simmentals. They operate a seedstock operation, are 100 % Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer. Fire Sweep grew up in California and her mother and siblings still live there. She is a master horse person. I think she was the California State Champion in the barrel raising event but I might have that wrong. Her academic background is Animal Science and Biology. She taught Biology in California. She has taught Animal Science at Ozark Technical College. Currently, she has the most challenging job of her life, teaching high school level students with severe challenges. One of the requirements of her job is to be able to defend herself and other students when the occasion arises.
I have known her and her family for several years. Over that period, I have purchased four Fire Sweep Simmental's heifers. I am not patronizing her when I candidly confess, I have basically copied their model for raising seedstock.
I hope she has some time to participate. She will bring a wealth of experience to the forum.

Hi guys! Lots of familiar names over here!!! This is where everyone went after leaving CT ;-)
As Ron said, I am at a super busy part of my life right now. What he did not include is that I am also back in college, getting my Learning Specialist degree (already have the bachelors and masters degree, so that is next level in the education field). So my time is PRECIOUS! I will try to keep up, but honestly I stopped checking CT on a regular basis back in August when my classes started back up.
Thanks for the warm welcome! When I have time, I will share an interesting story, with pictures, of a mystery! Short story, we had a heifer calve and one calf was 3 weeks early and the second calf was just parts of a calf! Cow and early calf are doing well now, but the story is pretty bizarre to say the least. Bye for now!
