There were two big recordings of this song:

I really like Dionne Warwick's music, but I have to chose the guys singing this one. It was funny to see them in suits and being orderly. It was just before Rock and Roll really cut loose. Great song!!

Great song!! She has songs that fit her style better. I am older than you. Do you remember Dick Clark? I watched that religiously. It is startling the change in style since those times.

Yes, I watched Dick Clark. I remember when I was a child how the people stood still and dressed up to sing their songs. Then the 60's exploded and everyone went to tassels and shook all over when they sang. Ha-ha!! Here is a song that is not as old as the one you posted, but the words sort of scared me as a youngster. Then when we reached the year, 2020, it reminded me so much of the song. I never thought I would make it this far! This is not far off from the time of your song.....

I enjoyed watching that. It covers so much history. I turned on the show, "Death Valley Days" a few minutes ago. Ronald Reagan was the cowboy on the show. I had to stop and watch it for a few minutes. Seems time changes in a matter of seconds now.

Minutes, hours, and days move inexorably slow while weeks, months and years move at lightspeed.

Probably the best "Good Time Charlie" cover I've heard. This feller has hours of amazing stuff on the you tube. If you find yourself wanting to kill a few hours, check him out.

Highgrit, I have never heard that one before. That one seems like it would really be an oldie.
3LT, I have always liked "Goodtime Charlies Got the Blues."
