My calves have been healthy. I have yet to use an antibiotic other than a couple boluses for diarrhea. I know this doesn't work for everyone but here has been my vaccination routine this fall. 1. At birth. Inforce 3 and First Defense A. Inforce 3 is an MLV intranasal that covers IBR, PI3, and BRSV. The three respiratory viruses. B. First Defense is not a vaccine but provides interim antibodies for E. Coli (K99) and Coronavirus. 2. At 2 to 3 months. A. Booster Inforce 3 B. Injectable vaccine Pulmo Guard PMH-1. Covers the pneumonia bacteria Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida. C. Covexin 8. Covers 8 Clostridials including Clostridium tetani. 3. At 4 to 5 months A. Fetal Protection MLV injectable with Leptospira. This year I used Titanium FP 5 L5 HB. Covers the FP viruses IBR, PI3, BVD (1 and 2), BRSV. The L5 Leptospira bacteria including the Leptospira borgpetersenii serovar HB. Calves look very healthy and required no antibiotics: PS: I never administer more than one vaccine at a time.
