On the way to a basketball tournament with his daughter. And another girl who played with his daughter and that girls parent. And the pilot. Five people and two of them 13 year old girls. RIP

I heard there were 9 people. a coach and his kid(s) perhaps? Yep, at first they were saying 5 people. But they increased it to 9 people total.

Wonder what part of the world they will exile her too?? The part where when her employer needs a little distraction they can depend upon her to gin up a clip that can be played over and over so people wont focus on the real news. After a little cooling off, she'll likely be promoted within the ranks. She really wasn't very smooth/natural at all. She paused way too much before saying it. Unlike the example below, the awkwardness should happen afterward.

I'm right there with you. He never was enough of a team player for my liking. I hate to see this happen, especially with children on board.

Must have been some sort of misunderstanding...MSNBC is the network of inclusiveness, understanding, diversity, equality, political correctness and everything else the left keeps hawking...

Idk..real sorry about the crash. But taking a helicopter full of kids through the mountains in weather bad enough to ground all other air traffic Including leo.. just to play basketball.. doesn't seem to bright to me.

Yep, pretty normal for FBI to get involved in this kind of crash, where the reason for the crash is not pretty evident BUT, I wouldn't put a lot of trusty in what Mirror UK News says. 1. They are foreign and may have FBI confused with the other fed agency NTSB. 2. Mirror is a UK tabloid type news organization that sells papers and gets readers thru overtly sensational headlines.
I really have doubts that the helicopter suffered twin engine failure. I've heard a recording of the helicopter as it passed overhead and then the 'thud' as it hit the hill...it was flying with engines running. Either something medical happened to the pilot or he got in the soup, decided to turn around, made that hard left turn at 130 kts (150 mph) and ran into the terrain before the turn was complete. He was well within the flight capabilities of the helicopter...no where near Vne and had plenty of room to climb before reaching max altitude for that type aircraft. When you go into a turn in a helo, at a high rate of forward speed, you lose lots of lift and altitude. Operator error..he was going way too fast for conditions and to make that turn. A turn at 130kts takes up a lot of air real estate.
Turn volume up. The louder part is when the helo begins it's turn (rotor blades slap the air in a turn) and big spiral down. The faint thud at the end is impact.

Yeah, I just grabbed mirror as it was what popped up first when I went to grab a link. Heard it elsewhere.
Hmmm... I hear what you are saying on the sound.
I guess they aren't convinced of what caused it yet then.
