We have 3 more weeks of basketball, hopefully I can spend more time on here. I miss the bs’ing Share a short story. Dave coaches basketball and is a crop farmer. His kids are interested in showing cattle but he is not a cattle producer. Margo's first calf (she was a heifer and delivered a 105 pound bull calf unassisted - this was maybe 4 years ago because Margo has had several calves) was steered. Dave saw Margo on CT. He came down with his kids and he bought Margo's steer for his son to show. Margo makes a big impression on visitors. All my cattle are exceptionally docile but some are a little shy around strangers. Not Margo. I always ask folks to be careful but everyone wants to pet Margo. They were here back in the late summer. His son is older now but he is still mesmerized by Margo. He literally hugs her. Cute as hell to watch his face when he pets on Margo. Dave said if I ever want to sell Margo, he will be here as fast as he can bring the trailer. To be candid. Margo does not fit my objectives. She is HUGE. Currently, she does not fit in the chute. I AI her in the alley just before the Palpation Cage. I put a 2 x 4 behind her so she cannot back up. I pour her in the pasture. I vaccinate her in the alley. I often hear visitors guess her weight. Most say around 1600 pounds. I think she will go 1750. At least. She has a lot of frame. If I was ever going to sell her, she would go to Dave.
