My wife has been feeding a 3/4 bucket of feed to a couple of old cows and their calves every other day. The two calves are the best in the herd and look like some of the pictures y'all post. We wean and bunk break our calves for 45 days before we sell, but I'm thinking creep feeding would add a lot of pounds.

We wean and bunk break our calves for 45 days before we sell, but I'm thinking creep feeding would add a lot of pounds. I switched feeds this year. This is a high protein, moderate carb feed formulated with probiotics, vitamins, etc. I am seeing more actual growth. These calves are stout, well muscled calves for their age. The bulls are already developing masculinity. I don't know if this is the path for commercial producers but this feed is a booster for seedstock.
