Saturday was cold miserable dreary. I can not just sit around and do nothing so I decided to build another GN carrier and hay fork .

Should of put 2 spears on the bottom. We use ours as forks all the time, and you can lift a roll higher.

I have a 16' GN. What weight of tractor would I need to safely move the trailer around with a set up like yours? I'm just not sure of the tongue weight on a GN.

My tractor grosses around 12000 pounds . I have a 24' GN and try to balance weight to rear when I do it. I don't haul very far when I do it it more of convenience when I have to load hay in fields and move to barn . Or just move the trailer from one spot or the other. I hauled around 13k of hay yesterday about a mile . I would think for 16' 8 or 9k tractor could handle it fine if loaded to the rear of trailer.

I've hauled 20k lbs plus the trailer weight behind a 65 hp JD, my 100 hp Kubota doesn't hardly feel loaded till I hit the highway headed home then it struggles getting to 25 mph.
