Has anyone used Chaps semen very much? How do the calves look? I really like the way Resource stamped his looks on calves. I’d like to find a economical bull to breed our commercial cows to. Leaning hard toward using Chaps.

I don't use Angus, but kycowpollinator can help on that bull.

Leaning hard toward using Chaps. If you aren't dead set on a Resource son. I have semen on a Recharge son out of a full sister to Cutting Edge that would be economical. I've seen several of his and I actually prefer another son of his, EB Teddy. A Poss Angus bull. But I'd go with Territory over Chaps.
But depending on how many you are looking to AI, I recommend a lot of Poss bulls. We've been loving our Mogck Amplify. Terminal sire.

SAV Territory or Buford Pathfinder for a Resource son
11111 and Jake, have you seen the latest pic of Territory? In his working clothes I assume but wanted to hear thoughts and opinion of someone who had seen the pics of him in the field

I actually met with fellow seedstock men and ST Genetics last night and we discussed Territory. I don't know that I really learned anything in regard to him that I hadn't before but I know that expectations are extremely high for him. Kelly expects that he WILL replace Resource. I didn't think he looks near as deep but I do believe maternally, he'll create quality replacements. I have not used him and chose not to use him this year either but I had been using Resource for a good number of years in our commercial herd.

Thanks for all the recommendations. ABS has Chaps semen on sale for $22/straw. I think I will give him a go this year.
