It seems we have another outbreak of flu locally. Not the Coronavirus version. Just the flu.
Going thru the CDC flu prevention basics is nothing new. But it is a good time to talk it all over with the grandkids.
Their first point is "avoid close contact". All three granddaughters are playing basketball. Both grandsons are playing too. Here I am at gymnasiums watching games, and watching them push and shove getting position on the floor. They are making close contact and people walk in and sit close to me. :-0

I took the flu shot, and hope that I can get past it. As much as I stay at home, maybe I can avoid it all together. The only good thing I can see about the flu, is when you break through to the other side; it shows how much we take for granted each day when we are well.

They give us the flu shot every year at work. This year it didn't work out for me. I was dog sick the first week of January. Maybe nest time.

So far have not gotten the flu, but everybody around me has had it. From tests they have had type B influenza.. From what I have seen, and it affects everybody different, this strain is not as bad as some. Usually you will have a fever and within a week or less back going good. I have had the flu before and a month latter still trying to kick it.

My wife had only cold like symptoms taking it and with the Type A this year and was over it in a few days. I'm a believer and a lady in a cancer clinic told me years ago that they recommend it to patients because their patients do not need an additional drug and tamiflu has side effects for some folks.

Often, shots like the flu and shingles, often make me sick the following day. This year, the shot did not even hurt and felt just fine.
