Does anyone know anything about Diamond C trailers? www.diamondc.com/We've pretty much narrowed our choices down to Gator Made and Diamond C. If we decide to drive out to the Diamond C factory in Texas, we might swing up through Oklahoma and look at the Red Rhino trailers. Thanks for any information.

Don’t know anything about Diamond C but I haven’t heard anything good about Gatormade. Lots of different issues with them IIRC. Did you check out Kaufman out of NC? I have had great luck with them and good pricing.

We heard the same thing about Gator Made and went to the factory to check things out for ourselves, very impressed. We're buying a hydraulic dove tail and the rear lock up and carrying capacity on the dove tail is important.

Check out Texas made in Huntsville. I bought my tandem dual from them. Been a good trailer except for the wheel thing. And they drove me down a pair of tires and wheels the next day. Owned by some big-time second amendment supporters.

Most of the commercial hotshot guys that I've talked to swear by either PJ's or Gatormade. I went with PJ as there's a dealer near here. The kaufmans are the industry standard for car haulers but I haven't heard anything about their other trailers.

I would love to have a 30’ with a hydraulic dovetail. PJ is a great trailer Okie but they used to be heavy as heck. Have they lightened them up some? It killed your payload.

Don't forget the self leveling 40k lb hydraulic jacks. A lot of the trailer manufacturers don't want more than 2-4k lbs on the dovetail when transporting, and that won't work for our application.

What brand did you go with Grit? Also how do you like the hydraulic dovetail 30’ combo? Seriously considering one of these especially moving hay equipment as much as I do. I think the hydraulic dove would let me load the Tedder and tractor relatively easy and that is the hardest most dangerous piece to move. Thanks for any feedback.

Just an update. Bought a 32’ Diamond C with the hydraulic dovetail. Couldn’t be happier with the trailer unless I could have bought it for half price Pulls great loaded and empty and 20 rolls of hay ride like a dream. Got disc breaks and that load stops like the truck empty. Really impressed with it so far.

The dang tires are what nips your butt. They are competitive in pricing and all use the cheapest tires they can find. The first thing I do is go buy a quality set of load range G tires and they're over $220 each. Times 8. Ramirez buys the factory tires which helps a little but not much. They only have a few miles on them.
The last thing you want to do is blow tires when you're pulling a load. Been there, jack knifed and damaged wheels when it happened.
