Here are some pictures of our boys. First is the cornerstone of our program, Lanpheir's Vaquero (barn name Austin). He was really something special and all but 1 doe in our herd are his bloodline, be it a daughter or great grand daughter, some even purposely line bred and having him in their pedigree multiple times. He made good sons, but his true value was in his phenomenal daughters! I put him down at 10 years old, but still have quite a few straws stashed away.

If those aren't National Champions I can't imagine what it would take to win. Great looking bucks

Thanks for the kind words all!
Bulltrader, we have no national champs yet. We can consistently take top honors at regional shows and have placed in top 10s at nationals, but still striving for that top spot at the big dance. Thanks again for the compliment though!

Wow Bootjackbulls, I am truly impressed. Those are some beautiful animals and you have taken great care of them to get them to that point. They are huge!! Thanks Chuckie! I wish I could take credit, but these goats are my mothers project. She has suffered some traumatic injuries in the past 20 years, and has had one hip replaced, with the other scheduled to be done in about 2 weeks. All of this meant she had to sell her cows after 20 years of really making a name for herself in Limi circles. The goats had been a side project, but now have replaced the cattle in her life and are a full time job for her. It is a great way for her to still have livestock to care for, and make money from, but everything with the goats can be and is set up to remove physical limitations that keep her from doing it on her own. Having said that, one of my sisters works in that barn a minimum of 5 days a week and my daughter is there every day before and after school doing her part too. Cattle are still in our blood (my sister runs a large herd of our Limi and Lim-Flex cows and I run our bull program with my daughter having her small herd as well), but the goats are a good compliment to those programs.

I can totally understand your Mom's need for raising goats to because the cattle are just too demanding. With what she has done, I am sure that you are proud of what she has accomplished. I believe those are the most beautiful goats that I have seen. I have looked at this breed before, but I think her's are the icing on the cake.
Funny how your judgement of conformation of cattle or horses transfers to other animals. You want the best you can find still.
I am glad that she has help to get things done. I am sure your daughter enjoys working with her as there is so much to learn from the older folks when it comes to livestock.
Funny that my head injury took my activities away from me. I settled with raising cattle for the last 16 years, as my husband has always owned them. I found myself keeping a horse on my mind all the time. After 20 years, I bit the bullet, and you know the rest of the story. I did purchase two horses, the colt and then a 10 year old mare.
I wish your Mom continued success with her goats. I still call them bucks and does. Around here, people want to say "Nanny and Billy!" Heathens!!!! Ha-ha-ha!!!!! I have to gig them about it. All in fun!!
