Why would producers demand anything from packers?
They should go around them.
They are controlled by foreign interests. I'm not into asking China or Brazil if they'll give me a better price.
We should demand deregulation. The whole country should. That's our job, educate the consumer they are being screwed.
Why can't you sell what you are producing here and get that premium from people that want hormone free beef?
They're already paying for it in packer mark up without getting it. Or if they are, they're paying double for it.
We should fight the badtards, but starve them not ourselves. Every town should have a butcher that sells by the lb if not a couple.
There's no reason a federal veterinarian should have to inspect every side of beef. That's BS. States should be able to decide the laws within the state.
The packers need to be in jail on RICO charges, and I think they will be. But the system has to be fixed as well.
