I had a pasture over on the coast that backed up to thousands of acres of timber land. I would occasionally see a bear track. No big deal. My son's hunting buddy shot a deer on the hill behind there that just missed making B&C. There were some old homestead apple trees in a corner of the field so I put up a game camera to see who was eating the wind fall apples. Nothing but does and fawns. The trees ran out of apples so I started bring some from home. A couple 5 gallon buckets at a time. Then I got a lot of pictures of a very big bear.
Funny how I had seen those track and thought nothing of it. See those pictures and I am looking over my shoulder.

Here they are out and hungry. But mostly eating grass and tender leaves. Any day now the momma will run off last year's cubs. Then more likely to see cubs 80-100 lb by themselves.
