During the COVID-19 virus who looks at this time as an opportunity to infuse new genetics into your herd? Are you attending purebred sales? We had committed to a sale prior to the outbreak and have 17 head consigned, we are moving forward with the sale. I would be telling a lie if I told you I wasn’t nervous. So the question is on a scale of 1 to 10 how crazy are we? I am attaching a catalog To give you an idea of why I’m nervous! www.angusjournal.com/salebooks/maternalgems050920api/gizmom

My son is doing some AI just to get some herd sires for our own use. We buy very few bulls. Kind of on the same track.

Not crazy at all. You told them you'd consign them so that's what you have to do... That being said, it would scare the crap out of me. Not only do you have to worry about attendance, but also all the people with normally good paying side jobs that are currently in a bind that will holding back if they even show up/bid. I'd do it because I agreed to it but if there's a way to set a floor I'd damn sure do it and bring them home to try again if it doesn't work out.

A lot of bulls sold at the Tifton bull test cheap, some really cheap. The cheapest one that sold was $1,100. And there were a few no sales that didn't even reach a $1,000 bid. The market is terrible and no doubt better times are coming.

You don’t need to worry. Online sales are very popular. Your cattle look good in videos. Bought cattle online just from video and never been disappointed Safes a lot of travel time

Personally, I think a decision to consign prior to Covid-19 is subject to be changed without it demeaning a consignor's ethical reputation.
