If they're not fighting they're having a bromance. But they have been in prison since last August, so . . . .

I have 2 bulls that are half brothers and within a week of the same age. They fight at least once a week. Seems there is never a clear winner.

These are the ones I bought last year as yearlings, Woody & Willy. They may be young & stupid but at least they're not stupid enough to challenge Johnson, the alpha in the corner who is now 4. When I turn them out I put Johnson & Woody in the main herd - zero fighting and all the cows get bred, they go straight to work.

We have one bull, not the oldest, but he is the only red one... A Red Poll.... that is the undisputed boss. When we move bulls in and out, and someone wants to fight someone else, he will go over near them and they just quit. Literally, all he has to do is go over near the ones trying to be "king of the hill" and they will quit. He keeps the peace. He is not the biggest, but one of the biggest. Quiet, very easy to work with... just the best.
