so I just got the KCA (kentucky) report showing "all" the things they've done with checkoff money$.
so for '19 I think they said they have like.. 600k individual views!!! on instagram... WOW.. thats absolutely nothing. so for all that money to pay the people... they created a few small videos.. and got some small views.. what are they doing?
Here's an idea.. pay Mark Dice.. or other you tube stars.. some $$$$$$ to say.. I"M ENJOYING MY DELICIOUS SIRLOIN STEAK.. .NOW.. WATCH THIS!!
BOOM.. now 200k people want a sirloin steak.. THAT DAY..
no need to create some catchy phrase no one will see other then in the beef community. no need for a video... am I missing something?
also.. the "beef, its whats for dinner ads.." yes.. they are in BEEF magazines.. but no where else. Well.. we eat beef, we don't need to know its whats for dinner.
to me they are wasting a lot of money and resources just playing.

Paying a lot of salaries at NCBA. It's time to make it NCA again, or probably consider discontinuing the checkoff and start over. The most good I can see it doing at this time is maybe the MEF, and it's okay to promote USA beef to foreign countries, but not at home.......where the packers and NCBA stooges don't want to divulge where any of it came from.....unless you pay extra.

I'm honored to assist Creekstone Farms Premium Beef in promoting CAB and Cowrancher, you're right, NCBA needs to up their game. Creekstone brings a lot of their big customers out for a "farm to table" tour and they also take them to the feedlot and through the slaughter process at the plant. The customers blog and promote Creekstone in their restaurants, which subsequently promotes more exposure. They know where their beef comes from! Creekstone brought celebrity chefs Robert Irving, Shane Cash & Brian Goodman out last year. Creekstone donates the meat for Robert Irving's American Air Skyball (his foundation to honor the military), and in turn he posts pics of hanging with my cows and the promotes Creekstone. Win-win.

An uphill battle against the entrenched and well funded bureaucracy. It will take a major collusion, proof of illegal activity and payback, and an internal stooge or a witness with indemnity to get a crack in the whole. It is broken when they spend so much time and money advertising to the payers and not the buyers.

That celebrity chef looks familiar. Is it CAB as well as Premium Black Angus? Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know Creekstone is American owned, and slaughters only cattle raised in the USA. Imagine the fallout if they betrayed their customers. As far as I'm concerned the other packers do that every day. I'll always remember how NCBA fought Creekstone's effort to test for BSE to reopen the Japanese market back in the 2001 era. They weren't even allowed to purchase the test kits.

Restaurant Impossible is one of his shows but he owns numerous restaurants, including one in the Pentagon. Creekstone was purchased by a Japanese firm 3 years ago and has since expanded, including building a new distribution center, bringing in 350 new jobs. And yes, their USDA Certified Black Angus and Duroc pork is all born & raised in the US.
