A post was made on this horse about it being in good shape. They said that she is told that the horse is too thin with its ribs and backbone showing. She says the horse is in good shape. She says that people tell her that her dog is extremely thin also. It breaks my heart. What are your thoughts on this animal? They have taken the post down, for which I am glad. I saved the photo of the horse and I reluctant to post it since I did not ask permission. I can only imagine what would be thrown at me from using it. The rider states that people have attacked her for its backbone not showing any tissue up around the vertebrae as it stands above the top of the ribs. :^( She said someone had the gall to say that to her about her horse. This horse was only 3 years old and still growing. The horses in the Kentucky Derby are in much better condition than this horse is.
She stated that people attack her over her dog as well from the bones showing. Then goes on to tell that she was even skinner. So I feel this is a girl is OCD with anorexia, and makes her animals go through it as well. I suggested to her that if she felt she needed to be that thin that she not push it on her animals. Honestly, I have never seen anyone saddle a horse so terribly thin and ask it to carry you around all day. I can only imagine how bad the saddle fitted and that it would rub sores on the vertebrae and ribs as well. She had some of her friends on the forum to say that the horse looked OK, but I feel she contacted them to come to her aid as people on forums often do. I looked at the horses of those that came to her aid, and they were in good shape.
There were pictures of the horse earlier where he had a pleasant look on his face, but in the photo of the bones showing, he looked worn out and sick.
I do appreciate you looking although.
