Here is a really interesting story that happened on January 25 at Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. My Grandaddy and I would go fishing there a lot as a kid, and then I tried it again a few years ago. It is a beautiful lake with many Cypress trees lining the lake and many out in the middle of it. So many eagles are making their home at the lake as the lake is just a very short distance from the Mississippi River. My husband has done business with Mr. Vowell as he has a lumber business. I just can't imagine what would make a man do this. I had to come back and change the link as the other would not link up.... www.wildfowlmag.com/editorial/details-emerge-on-deadly-shooting-at-reelfoot-lake/388245

It is interesting to read everyone's theory on this. I am reading where some think that the man that survived the ordeal was the killer, not Vowell. They did find Vowell's body in the lake this past Saturday. They are speaking about how the story is not the same from the witness. He says that he knocked Vowell out of the boat and his gun fell into the lake. But they found the boat fairly close to the blind and the gun was still in the boat.

That is weird. Hard to believe the older guy did it, unless he had developed mental problems.

I can only imagine what actually happened. Reelfoot Lake is a rough place to be if you start crossing people that live around the lake. I have always heard people talk about it, but I went several times going fishing about two years ago. It is so beautiful there and just looking across the lake and trees, there are is so much wildlife there. Lots of Egrets, Eagles, ducks, geese, and Pelicans. Let's not forget the water moccasins.
