I bought a group of 19 middle age to older registered chiangus cows and a registered bull but they have to be off the property by oct 1. I cant keep them all here, and come october there will be 4 calves under 3 months old. Right now there are 15 calves Options: 1. Sell the calves and keep the best 7 cows. 2. Sell everything but Keep the cows with the youngest calves and sell those in the spring 3. Sell all of them 4. Keep the heifers, sell the rest
help me decide

Number 4 isn't even an option. If you want cows pick and choose what you think are the best young cows.

Im leaning heavily to selling all the spring cows and calves, keeping the mommas with the summer/fall calves over the winter and then selling them all. That way I can buy what I want right off the bat.
