Is there any reason to transfer registration of older cows that are destined for the sale barn? I do have the papers

I’d ask the buyer. Are you selling them as registered?

Hook you could contact the breed registery and get them transfered to you but they don't do anything for nothing.

I get that part randy, im just wondering if its worth the transfer fee to the buyers at the barn. Some of these cows are 13 years old

Some of these cows are 13 years old If you are taking them to sale barn and do not intend to sell them as registered, then no. If you aren’t selling them as pairs, also no. But if you plan to disclose that they are registered and people spend a little more because they are, then you’d certainly transfer them.

Just my .02, bought a bunch of cows from the sale barns down here for numerous types of orders, didnt care or want papers even when they were offered. The people that papers matter to, aren't sitting at the usual weekly sale. Now a purebred, advertised "special" sale, that would be different.
