He's back to acting normal, must of just been sore after ripping a 1/3 of his inside claw off. Never gave him anything but some time.

Glad he's back to normal. Sometimes they just get into something, twist something or take a bad step or tear up part of their foot. In my experience, I've been lucky I suppose, given a little bit of time or as dun would say "benign neglect" they often come out of it just fine.
Had a cow, one evening, that managed to find an old bed-spring or a spring from an old buried junked vehicle seat, get all wound around one claw. Looked terrible as she walked 3-legged-lame. The next morning when I got her up, it was gone, but she was still lame. I found a piece of it still stuck in the soft heel of that claw. Took the pliers and removed it, poured a bit of betadine in hole. After about a week or so she was fine.

Pretty amazing animals in what they can wall off and keep going. Their lungs stuck, and you don't want a rear limb injury on a bull. But outside of that, they're pretty resilient animals.
