I don't like it, and it don't like me.

I don't like it, and it don't like me. I have the same issues. An occasional margarita is all the hard stuff I need.

I sure like my whiskey. I don't drink much but sure enjoy a good drink now and then. If its got to be watered down or flavored up you shouldn't drink it to start with.

Alcohol puts me over the edge. I've been on a 34 year roll without being shot, run over or stabbed and see no reason to try my luck at drinking again.

Had to give it up after my heart surgery in '15. The lady cardiologist told me "I'll make you a deal. I'll keep you alive but you have to give up drinking" Sounded like a heck of a deal to me. I don't miss beer at all but do miss a good sip of whiskey sometimes..but I gave my word..

I'll sip a little bourbon now and then, especially if I have good cigars on hand, but I'm mostly a beer drinker. I quit alcohol all together for quite a while when my marriage was having problems. In fact I think us figuring out that we hated each others guts even more when I was sober is what ended it for good. I don't drink anywhere near what I used to now that there's nothing left to be miserable about but I don't feel right without some beer floating around here somewhere in case I get thirsty. I can go for days at a time eating once a day and piecing meals together with whatever is on hand but if I run out of beer or golden blend red man I'm headed for town!

I was not a drinker and my parents let me "try" a taste of stuff as a kid, but just never felt a need. Then I cocktail waitressed and saw first hand what alcohol could do to lower inhibitions. And listened to guys bragging about what good times they had....but they couldn't remember it the next day? ? That pretty much cured me of being much of a drinker. Plus, alcohol puts me to sleep, relaxes me and 2 drinks is my limit and I'm out. Not much fun for other stuff then either LOL.... Can't stand the taste of wine and don't like beer. A little golden rum in a pina colada, amaretto and kahlua. Don't have anything against someone who has a drink or 2, but have seen my share of wrecks when my dad was a fireman, and lives lost or ruined from being drunk. Told my son years ago, I wasn't against drinking, but he had better not ever drive drunk. I might get p.oed but I would come get him anytime he needed a ride and not say a thing til the next day when he was sober. He was welcome to drink all he wanted at home, and I would not get on his case for that. Luckily, he usually was the designated driver as he isn't a big drinker either. He probably drank more than I was totally aware of when younger, but it never came back to bite him in the butt or hurt anyone else. For that I am thankful.
