The unanimous Declaration of the Cattle Forum Today
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the community bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all posters are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life without undue banishment, Liberty to opinion and the pursuit of Happy posting. — That to secure these rights, Foums are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the members, — That whenever any Form of Forum becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the Posters to alter or leave it, and to institute a new Forum, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Security from banishment and Happiness in posting. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Forums long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Forums, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Bannished members; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former System of Forum. The history of the present Mod2 of Cattle-Today (CT) is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over the Forum. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
He has refused his Adherence to Rules, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden other members to post judgment of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his purpose should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to uphold other rules for the accommodation of large districts of posters, unless those posters would relinquish the right of open redress, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together secret meetings at places unusual, uncomfortable, and hidden from the depository of the Public Forum, for the sole purpose of fatiguing posters into compliance with his measures.
He has without cause banned good members, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the posters.
He has refused for a long time, after such undue banishments, to cause new members to be approved, whereby the Moderation Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the corrupt posters at large for their exercise; the Forum remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of horrid conversation within.
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of this Forum; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Posters; refusing to allow posting to others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new members.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing to uphold the rules equally.
He has made Posters dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their membership, and the amount of threads that remain unlocked and not erased.
He has allowed the erection of a multitude of Bright Raven threads, and hither swarms of heinous posts to harass good people and eat out their substance.
He has kept among us, in times of peace, BrookHill Angus without the Consent of our members.
He has affected to render Bright Raven and BrookHill Angus independent of and superior to the Mod Power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our clicked agreement, and unacknowledged by our rules; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Moderation:
For quartering of trolls among us:
For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any rule breaking which they should commit on the Inhabitants of this forum:
For cutting off our messages with all members of the CT site:
For reading our Private Messages without our Consent:
For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of discussion prior to banning.
For banning us simply because of multiple IP addresses and pretended offences:
For abolishing the free posting of normal conversation in a neighboring thread, establishing therein an Arbitrary moderation, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute tyranny into other threads.
For taking away our humor, abolishing our most valuable jokes and altering fundamentally the Forum:
For suspending our brethren, and declaring Mod2 with power to moderate for us in all cases whatsoever.
He has abdicated Moderation here, by banning us out of his Forum and waging War against us.
He has plundered our posts, ravaged our handles, erased our threads, and threatened doxing of the name of our people.
He is at this time allowing large quantities of self promotion and assisted gaslighting of over fed cattle to compleat the works of desolation and death of the CT forum, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Preference scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous of internet, and totally unworthy the Face of a civilized organization.
He has constrained our fellow Posters taken their accounts captive against their Forum, to become the ignorers of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our internet frontiers, the merciless trolls whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished offensiveness of all ages, breeds and conditions.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Moderator, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a forum people.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our CT Brethern. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their Moderator to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. Some too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
We, therefore, the Founding Members of the Cattle Foum Today, in General Forum, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good posters of these threads, solemnly publish and declare, That this united forum is, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent, that it is Absolved from all Allegiance to CT, and that all community connection between them and CT, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Forum, they have full Power to Fight, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, facilitate Agricultural Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent Forums may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Time, our Posts, and our sacred Honesty.
