A have 5 heifers that need to be bred. Been thinking about doing some AI on them. Still in the herd building process so would like to keep a few of their calves.
Any recommendations on a brangus sire, red or black.

SAV America is the best bull out there i been told. So much semen in those America straws you could breed all 5 with one straw. So i been told.
Don't know enough about the brangus to help you out.

Good looking bull. Like i said i don't know much about Brangus. I would try it or get on abs or slect sires wed pages and order some form them to do it with.

He doesn't look bad at all but I don't know much about his pedigree. If you can get it and have someone put it in without snubbing them on a sale get some Coranado. ABS sells him now but there's lots of places to get it. He makes a moderate cow that works hard and the dispositions are fantastic. Distinction is another one that is interchangeable with Coranado and he makes them nice and clean but the semen is a little harder to find on him as he's been gone for a while now. There is still some sex sorted semen floating around on him but it's from back when they were figuring things out with sorting so I'd stay away from it.

If you prefer red(I do) look into Trio genetics. I think they retired a while back but ares still selling semen. They had some really good red bulls. I didn't like any of the red brangus calves I saw from the two bulls that Select had.

I like the first one better. BUT, I’m basing that strictly on phenotype. That second bull is a big old soggy rascal. I bet his calves are the cats meow. I think you will be pleased.
