The ac on my Kubota will periodically start blowing warm air. 10 minutes later it will kick back in. The condenser and filters are clean, and it doesnt matter if its outside air or recirc. It inly happens after extended running. What do you think is going on? Icing over from low freon? I havent put gauges on it yet. What kimd of freon is it running. Its a 2007 if I remember right.

Just add a can of R134a to it and purge the hose so no moisture gets in.

Do tractor ac’s use any other refrigerant than 134?

It would have to be a fairly old tractor and most of those have been converted to R134. R 12 is bad for the ozone wish I had some.

Hard to say for sure without putting gauges on it.

No sure about tractors, but vehicles converted from R-12 to R-134A after 1995.......I would be very careful about adding Freon as I learned that the hard way. On my 2004 Kubota M6800 I added a can and it overfilled and cause a hole in the evaporator. They only hold like 20 oz. as there is a tag at the compressor that tells how much. I bought a vacuum pump, black light, can of yellow dye, set of manifold gauges and fixed the tractor AC, but the evaporator was like $500 if I remember correctly. Those vacuum pumps are pretty neat as no more than they hold just vacuum AC out and see if it holds(no leaks if it does) and just add back exactly what is recommended as it doesn't take but a few minutes. Sounds like your hired if you want to go to Rogersville. Lol

It checked out fine on the gauges. I wonder if it was freezing up from being on recirculate or its a loose connection somewhere. Seems every time I hit a good bump in the field it would be warm a few minutes later. Then slowly cool back down.
