Anyone else love oysters? I just got done shucking a hundred count. My buddy brought em up from the Gulf last night. Ain't much I like better than raw oysters on a saltine cracker with a touch of horse radish, and some cocktail sauce with some Pete's hot sauce mixed in. Yum, Yum, Yum.

Oysters are one of my favorites. I like fried best but will eat'm raw just the same. I saw the oyster boats coming in last Saturday to unload in Leeville La.

I don't need the Pete's, but with a few cold beers I could have made a pretty good size hole in the numbers.

I love em. Raw or cooked. Lightly steamed is my favorite. Saltines, Texas Pete, salt and pepper. I don’t eat em in the summer time though. I adhere to the “months that have R in them” rule. If they’ve been mishandled they can cause you to buy the farm.

I like em on the grill for just a few minutes, just as they "pop" add a little hot sauce and they good to go

I like them in a gumbo. I have eaten them raw and liked them that way, but I don't care to cover up their natural flavor with a bunch of goop. That is akin to putting beans in chili. Having said that, I don't often have them. Wife can't stand them and doesn't even like watching me eat 'em.

I have had a serious craving for a fried oyster po boy for weeks I love them smoked as well but my favorite is dipped in egg (no batter or other coating) and fried to golden in butter. No toppings needed. Raw is okay, but that maillard reaction just brings out the best flavor for me.
